The purpose of the Old Testament is to point people to Jesus Christ. What God has done for us is more than we could ask or imagine. Whatever we know about God's love is only the edge of the surface of the truth. Jesus died was once and for all, not to be repeated. God declared that it is appointed unto people to die once, after that the judgement. Jesus will come to be the salvation to those who are waiting for Him. For those who follow Christ, judgement has already been taken care of because of the cross. We must be looking forward to Jesus' return!
What is our response to false teachers and people who sin? Real freedom is not about doing a bunch of things that destroy us. Pleasing and loving Jesus should be more important than anything else in the world.
Abraham believed God, Isaac was submitted to his father, and Jacob was a deciver. Yet God identifies HImself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. All people everywhere have sinned and yet God choses to save. In moments of adversity people are willing to become slaves to get things from the government. God works for His people's good and His glory, in prosperity or suffering. God cares about His creation and no person has a right to discriminate against another person due to thier genetic makeup. However, not everyone is created excatly alike. Repentant faith is a gift from God.
