We need to focus on Jesus and only follow leaders who are following Jesus. God promises to give us everything we need to do His will.
Sex is designed by God to be an expression of love between a man and a woman who are married to each other. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. If these statements, which are from God, were obeyed, our nation and world would be in a much better condition. We must be content with what we have. The Lord will take care of all of His children and give them all they need. He has promised it.
We are not saved by an experience, we are saved by Jesus. Even when we struggle to persevere, we must not reject Jesus. Judgement is coming and Jesus is the only Savior. The Kingdom of God is not created, it is birthed by God and cannot be shaken. It is in His followers. Our service to God must be with reverence and awe.
Our faith is a gift and comes from God. God will see us through. We do not want to be illegitimate children and therefore we need discipline. If we are trusting in Jesus, then God will be sculpting us to be like Jesus. We should learn from the discipline that God gives us.
Faith is cognitive and involves intellectual understanding. God's word does not change and we need to measure everything according to His word. Believing something does not make it true.
The purpose of the Old Testament is to point people to Jesus Christ. What God has done for us is more than we could ask or imagine. Whatever we know about God's love is only the edge of the surface of the truth. Jesus died was once and for all, not to be repeated. God declared that it is appointed unto people to die once, after that the judgement. Jesus will come to be the salvation to those who are waiting for Him. For those who follow Christ, judgement has already been taken care of because of the cross. We must be looking forward to Jesus' return!
God is the creator and the only way that we can approach God is based on the sacrifice that Jesus made. Jesus paid our debt in full so that we could enter into a relationship with God. Because Jesus is alive, He is able to hold His Priesthood completely. We have a High Priest who ever lives to intercede for us to the Father. Jesus is alive and He lives forever!
Can a person be saved and lose their salvation? The purpose of God's word is that we will not be confused, but that we would know the truth. The way we live communicates to others what we believe, therefore we all have an opportunity to preach the good news.
We have all messed up and sinned, but God credits the righteousness of Jesus Christ on our account. This is not excuse to live like we haven't been born again and we don't earn our salvation, we display our salvation because of what Jesus did. Temptation and sin are not the same thing. We should not give into temptation, instead, we need to do what the Lord wants us to do. Jesus had to suffer in order to be made complete.
