God's word says that if we are His child, we are united with Christ. That should excite us! We should consider others better than ourselves. God is love and His love cannot be earned. Our attitudes should be the same as Christ Jesus. Jesus is God. God became a man so that He could die and save us. We are changed from the inside out. We need to find our identity in Christ.
Can a person be saved and lose their salvation? The purpose of God's word is that we will not be confused, but that we would know the truth. The way we live communicates to others what we believe, therefore we all have an opportunity to preach the good news.
When we know who we are in Christ, we realize that we are not to be afraid.
The way we treat Christians is the way we treat Christ. What we believe about who we are will make a world of difference in our behavior. Jesus is not a lot like God, Jesus is God.
