In the conclusion of Paul's letter to the Philippians, even while in prison, Paul tells believers to rejoice. We need to be content, whatever our situation is. If we have plenty or even if we don't have much, we can be generous. Rejoicing, contentment, and generosity, come from within, not our circumstances. In every circumstance, God is in control and no matter what happens around us, we need to remember that the Lord will take care of us. In Jesus, we find everything we need.
Three are the most important questions in life are: Who do you think you are? Where do you think you are going? What do you think you are doing? Pastor Wood teaches about these questions and how they shape our lives. Everything we do now is of eternal significance because we should be doing it for Jesus. Our greatest point of blessing is often tied to our greatest pain.
Our faith is a gift and comes from God. God will see us through. We do not want to be illegitimate children and therefore we need discipline. If we are trusting in Jesus, then God will be sculpting us to be like Jesus. We should learn from the discipline that God gives us.
