Too often, children are separated from their siblings when they enter foster care. The foster system is constantly seeking placements for sibling groups in a system that seems overloaded with more problems than solutions.

For Jada and Kiara, Wears Valley Ranch was a solution that allowed them to stay together. “It’s fun to experience life with your siblings,” says Kiara. “She (Kiara) is my best friend, and we got baptized on the same day,” says Jada. Both girls have professed faith in Christ since coming to the Ranch and live at Pleasant Hill.

Isaiah came to the Ranch first. His grandparents were looking for a place where he would receive godly guidance. The frequent scheduled breaks allowed them to maintain a relationship with him. After seeing how Isaiah was thriving at the Ranch, his younger brother, Victor joined him. Victor has been a delight, and we are happy to see him enjoy living with his big brother while building relationships with other children at the Ranch. Both boys live at Oak Rise boys home.

We are grateful that these siblings get to be together. Together, they can build life long relationships with each other and their housemates in a wholesome environment. Together, we can offer them a safe place to be kids. These two sibling sets represent a small sample of sibling groups that the Ranch has provided for over the past 30 years. We thank God for His mercy and kindness to these children.
