Heather Bingaman

Fine Arts Director

Heather was born in Indiana but lived in several different places during her growing up years, the longest of which was Kansas City, Missouri.  She attended Asbury University where she majored in Music with an emphasis on vocal performance and minored in Spanish and missions.  After graduating she served as a Volunteer in Action with World Gospel Mission on the American Indian Field.  She worked on the Tohono O’odham Indian Reservation near Phoenix, Arizona for just over a year before coming to the Ranch.

When Heather was about to finish her time on the mission field and was looking for her next step, she met up with several friends from college at a mutual friend’s wedding.  One of the friends told her about the Ranch and convinced her to apply.  Heather had wanted to apply for one of the teaching positions at the Ranch, but her friend encouraged her to apply to be a mentor in one of the residential homes.  She tried to resist the Lord’s call and find other jobs, but nothing worked out.  God was patient with her and kept leading her to the Ranch, and now she has been here for over five years.  She served as a mentor in Christopher House for one year, and during that time met James, whom she’s now married to.  Then for the past four years she has taught Fine Arts.

One of Heather’s greatest passions is music, and she loves sharing that with the students at the Ranch through teaching piano and voice lessons.  In her time serving at the Ranch she has learned how to rely on God to provide in all things.  God has used the Ranch to teach her many things, and He has shown her a life of worship, however imperfect, is the life He has designed us for.
