Andrew Wood
Head of School/Humanities Director
Andrew was born in Boston, grew up in Atlanta, went to college and seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, but has spent most of his life in Wears Valley, Tennessee. The youngest son of Jim and Susan Wood, he moved to Wears Valley in 1991 when his parents followed God’s call to start Wears Valley Ranch. He graduated from St. Andrew‘s School in 1999, Boyce College in 2003, and Southern Seminary in 2006. He has worked on and off at Wears Valley Ranch since 2006 and Covenant Community Church since 2014.
Andrew desires to tell of the greatness and glory of the Lord God Who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Lord has spoken most clearly in His Word, the Bible, and has provided everlasting life to all who believe in the person and work of Jesus. Andrew wants the kids to know, love, and obey God. Through the WVR community with worship, Bible study, school courses, and fellowship, Andrew has grown in his love for God, people, and in making disciples of Jesus.
