“I felt safe for the first time in my life.”
Johnna came to the Ranch with a rebellious heart. Over time, her heart began to change. “I came to know Jesus because of the love consistently shown to me,” recalls Johnna.
Johnna describes her Ranch experience as ~ They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Isaiah 61:4. “This is what God did for me through the Ranch,” says Johnna. “I am captivated right now about how God is changing my children through the Ranch. The cycle is being broken. My family will be different because of the Ranch.”
Since leaving the Ranch, Johnna attended college where she met her husband. They have two children and currently live in Texas. Johnna is the Executive Director for Brookwood Community; a ministry providing an educational environment that, through the grace of God, creates meaningful jobs, builds a sense of belonging and demands dignity and respect for adults with disabilities. Johnna has beneffitted from the principles she learned from living at the Ranch to serve in this role
