In addition to being the secretary to board of Wears Valley Retreat – the organization which donated the land that is now Wears Valley Ranch – God used Kathy Simmons to provide needed buildings for St Andrew’s School.

Ms. Simmons’ family were owners of the Old Mill property in Pigeon Forge. Knowing the Ranch was in need of buildings for St. Andrew’s School, she had buildings moved from the heart of Pigeon Forge at the Old Mill property to the heart of Wears Valley. The building pictured in this article is the “Watch Your Step Welcome Center.” We are grateful that the Welcome Center has been welcoming hundreds of students, staff and friends to our campus for decades.  Ms. Simmons is now in glory. We remember her part in the Ranch story with great fondness.
